statism definition

How is the Federal government controlling teachers, students and parents in public education?  Watch the videos below and you can see how the bullying of state educational agencies and local school districts are wreaking havoc on teachers, students and parents.  The states and schools are enacting Federal mandates on testing requirements via The Common Core State Standards Initiative which received Federal dollars to create and implement.  Millions of federal dollars went to the construction of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) writing the assessments that schools must use for accountability and tracking purposes.

Watch to see how these unvalidated tests are actually working out for the teachers, students and parents, and judge for yourself to the unsubstantiated claim that these are higher standards and will create higher thinking skills.

1.  TEACHER: INSIDE LOOK AT PARCC TESTING

2.  STUDENTS: PARENTS DESCRIBE WHAT TESTING REALLY MEANS FOR THEIR CHILDREN

PLEASE SHARE: All of this work in New Jersey has culminated in a new short film to be released tomorrow – “The Other PARCC: Parents Advocating Refusal on High-Stakes Testing,” a short documentary film by Michael Elliot.

The video is set to be released nationally at 5:00pm today, Sunday, Match 1st, 2015 and will launch the already inspiring grassroots activist movement in New Jersey into the national spotlight, highlighting the stories of parents and students in the struggle against high-stakes testing. The video is set to also be released at an event tomorrow in Montclair, New Jersey.

3.  PARENTS:  STUDENTS COULD BE SUSPENDED IF PARENTS DON’T ATTEND MANDATORY TESTING MEETING

Question: Why is there so much interest and concern that students are present for standardized testing?  Is it for concern of the students or for the threat of federal funding being pulled if students don’t attend the testing?  Note that the letter threatening suspension came from teachers but not denounced by the local school district.

detroit suspension

Watch the video here.

All three videos portray frustration by the parties involved with the implementation of tests that state educators/administration didn’t create.  The choice architects/NGOs who created/supported the CCSSI still insist on its implementation and marginalize stories of its detrimental effects on teachers, students and parents.  The bullying behavior from the USDOEd, state agencies and local districts is consistent to ensure these mandates (allegedly for Federal money) are enacted.

The videos show individuals gravely concerned about the effect of statist policy on children.  It’s way past time to practice the civil disobedience in your state necessary to destroy the NGO plan to direct/develop public education.  Below are some current stories of parents and students pushing back.  Start the disobedience to this heavy handed government oppression in your local district.  Speak out and protest against these educational reforms that are taking away the liberties of teachers, students and parents:
