This week Missouri Viewpoint assembled a panel of media experts to discuss what’s happened so far in this year’s legislative session and what to watch for the rest of the spring. Duane Lester of the Missouri Torch was on this panel and had this response to the question, “[Which] activist group or the lobbyist is really having a good year as far as their success goes?”

Lester: “I’m going to go ahead and  go with Missourians Against Common Core and the activists who are out against common core in general.”

Thanks for the great shout out Duane, and thanks for all you are doing on the Missouri Torch to help spread the word about Common Core!

You can see the full video interview here.

Here was my interview with Mike Ferguson a few month’s ago on Missouri Viewpoints.

Anne Gassel

Anne has been writing on MEW since 2012 and has been a citizen lobbyist on Common Core since 2013. Some day she would like to see a national Hippocratic oath for educators “I will remember that there is an art to teaching as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy and understanding are sometimes more important than policy or what the data say. My first priority is to do no harm to the children entrusted to my temporary care.”
