Missouri Teachers Speak Out about Common Core
Three Sikeston Missouri teachers were on Fox & Friends yesterday talking about what’s occurring in their district via Common Core mandates.
They talked about the problems of Common Core:
- Scripted lessons
- Lack of differentiation
- The implementation of curriculum that must align with the standards
- Drives a wedge between parents and children as parents cannot see the school work of their children
- Text books are not used so parents cannot review curriculum
We hope the courage of these three women will empower other teachers to step forward and tell their stories of Common Core in their classrooms. You can find the interview here.
