wachtung high school

Response from Watchung Hills Superintendent regarding her email on  Pearson’s displeasure at student’s social tweet and the access/sharing of personal student data via the New Jersey Department of Education.  It will be interesting in the days to come if the privacy and security of student information remains the utmost priorty for school districts nationwide and if they refuse to divulge the identities of their students to Pearson for tweets done outside of school on PARCC and which do not divulge test questions.  However, I do not see any mention in this email that the State Educational Agency has any responsibility to have privacy and security of student information  as an utmost priority, so could student data be accessed/shared via the SEA?

Taxpayers and parents may want to contact their school districts and state agencies to determine any social media policies they have signed with Pearson (PARCC) or McGraw Hill (SBAC) or (AIR) and see what constitutes ‘malpractice’ according to those NGOs.
